SNAIL Handmade Ceramics is a mom & special needs son ceramist duo based in Singapore.

Each piece is hand-built slowly, from scratch.

We hope our ceramics bring small pauses, quiet moments, and a gentler pace to everyday life.

All pieces are made, glazed and fired by us at our home studio.

Why ‘Snail’?

Snails have always been JH’s favourite. When we started the studio, we chose a name that felt familiar to him.

Snails carry their homes with them and move at their own pace, unbothered by the rush of the world. Through our ceramics, we hope to share the same spirit - a gentle reminder to slow down and find small moments of calm in everyday life.

Meet the Ceramists

Joon Hyeong (JH):

Quietly observant, JH notices the small details others often miss. He loves nature — animals, plants, the sea — and feels most at home working with his hands. In the studio, he takes his time, working patiently and shaping each piece with care.

Cathy:

Cathy brings years of experience working with space, form, and colour. With a background in architecture, interior design, and floristry, she’s learned how objects can make a space feel alive and brighten an ordinary day. Her pieces are thoughtful, joyful, and made to fit into everyday life.
